The end

Finally back on my home land.

Here is wat i brought back to singapore
1. overweight luggage
2. souveniors
3. 2 kilograms of unneccessary weight
4. unforgettable memories.

Enlightening things..
1. Came back as a proud singaporean, being more aware of our nation's current global standing, society, etc
2. More opened minded to global citizens. We should reach out to make friends as much as we can.
3. Some pple do missed me in Sinapore.
4. I do missed Singapore though it is small, hot and kinda boring.
Missed my parents, frens and special pple who i nvr knew tt would be missed. ha.
5. Every nation has its own gd n bad side. Have to learn how to be more adaptable in every situation.
6. There is an abundant of opportunities for us to reach out to.
7. China is not fully bloomed yet but is really blooming faster than the way the chicken rice uncle chops his chicken.
8. Korean gers are not as tall as i tot.

1st week back in Singapore
Met up with frens. Singapore is still the same. Frens are almost the same, just like weiwen san's hair which had been cut and grown. Din missed out too much on any big juicy news.

These 6 months felt like a really long long dream. 6 mths back, I often had nightmares that i would be forced to awakened from this beautiful dream. But the last 2 mths peirced some ugly realities into my sweet dream and had caused me to wake up gradually.

Miss Foo is now ready for a fresh beggining.

Everland! Supposedly to be the best amusement park in korea. But we left , feeling disappointed.
Wasnt as thrilling as we expected. Park was big n beautiful but rides were not exciting.
Haha.. meant for kids. So for this day, we travelled back in time and behaved like 10 yr olds, acting cute. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Heehee now i am in hong kong. Staying with my uncle till 19th Aug.

How did i feel on my last day in korea?
1. Relieved. 6 mths was just nice. Not too long, not too short.
Seen the beautiful and ugly side of Korea.
2. Excited. About my dim sum n clothes waiting for my spending in HK.
3. Unforgettable. IT wasnt 100% fun. There were many frustrating times.
But i felt that these frustrating times helped me learned new things n cause me to see things with a more open mind.

- cleanliness
- clear skies
- beautiful and neat grassy fields
- walking around aimlessly in PP, buying groceries or checking out the latest video after sch
- jogging around punggol
- the cute babies ard
- the peacefulness
- ur neighbours' karaoke singing and mahjong playing noises on the weekends
- the LRT..

Things i still do not really missed about Punggol
- lousy food in the Kofu
- smell of dog poo
- hot weather in the afternoon..

Sorry for the lazy- to - post -pictures syndrome. Well, this is all because I dropped my korean dictionary onto my lappie the other day. Now, i cant type letters like a, n, h, b, c, z, and 'tab'. It is damn irritating. My new mouse is spoilt as well. :S
There are tones of pictures of events n places i visited but i have not upload them yet. Will do so when i have the time.

What have i been up to lately?

18/06/06 : Makes my last day in Yonsei I house and departure of my international friends.
Then, 2 weeks of holiday before i start work .
I forgot what i did in the 1st week. Pro
In the second week, i travelled back n forth to the Seoul immigration office 4 times. As my visa expired and i wasn't allowed to apply for work permit.
I shall say the Korean immigration officers aren't exactly administratively and communicatively efficient and profficient.
Was fined 130 000won. F***

Currently, i am working 9-6pm. After my 1 month affair with the examination center in Hongdae, i shifted to a 하숙 in Shinchon . On weekends, i meet up with frens for a drink or dinner. On weekdays nite, i rush back home to catch Sex & the City.

12th Aug marks my last day the land of the morning calm, and my first day in the land of Dim Sum. My return to my small homeland will be on 19th Aug.

Feelings at the moment..
I missed home.
Maybe, I will miss Korea when i get back but i simply cant wait for the start of my shopping n eating spree in HK.
HAd spent my last 6 mths trying to analyse the Koreans, the Korean culture, my international friends, myself n Singapore. All sorts of tots and feelings are running everyday...

My usual hangout gang in the I house embarked on our last tour to herb nara and the sheep farm. These 2 places are located in the province of gangwan-do, the northeast of Korea. Weather was quite bad when we reached herb nara. It is a herb farm, filled with flowers, flowers & flowers. Here are the pictures of the herb land. Not SK II, hahha. So no free cosmetics or whitening lotion.
It is a big company in Korea.
A total of 184 interns were recruited. with almost 100++ in SK telecoms
ard 120 is from China.
USD 2250 for 6 weeks of work.
Accomodation not provided. though i heard they will give us lunch money each day.
First 4 days will be this traning camp at the SK academy in the outskirts of Seoul. NExt Fri will be training followed by a tour on next next monday. So in actual fact there is less than 5 weeks of work.

Cheering madness...
My friends and I decided to joined the korean's support for the match against Togo.
We went down to the most happenign place that nite: City hall.
Atmosphere was fantastic! Damn high. Everyone wore red.
Koreans are very nationalistic and patriotic people. Before the start of the match, everybody was just sitting around, cheering for korea. By the way, There is a korean theme album produced for this year world cup. Everybody knows the songs. (I have a copy. heehee...)
